The rooms

Three rooms, sized to the audience.

Choose the room by the audience. The Atrium takes a keynote for 150 on a built-in stage. The Observatory seats the same numbers with daylight and the city behind the speaker. Cosmos is for a board or client presentation to 25.

What's included

The technical, already in the rooms.

Nothing on this list is hired in for your date, which is why it works on the day.

  • In the Atrium, a built-in raised stage, not a platform brought in for the day
  • Screens sized for each room, and a wall-filling one in the Atrium for the back row
  • Microphones and sound, run by someone who works in this building
  • Fast wifi built for a working campus, not a venue's guest network
  • A kitchen close by for coffee, tea and breaks
  • The room set to your layout before your first attendee arrives
  • Technical support on site for the whole session

What organisers ask about the rooms.

Questions

Technical services including recording and streaming are arranged through our AV supplier on request. Tell us in the enquiry what you need captured and we will scope it with the booking rather than on the day.

Theatre for up to 150 and classroom for up to 80, in the Atrium or The Observatory; a U-shape for up to 40; or a boardroom table for 25 in Cosmos. Tell us the format and we will confirm the room and the number when you book.

Each room has somewhere to wait before going on: enclosed rooms and phone booths beside the Atrium on the ground floor, and breakout rooms on The Observatory's floor. Say you need one in the enquiry and we will hold it.

Access time is agreed with the booking, and the room is set to your layout before you arrive — so setup is your content and your rehearsal rather than furniture. Early access for a build is usually possible with notice.

In the Atrium, yes, along with the built-in stage and screen. The Observatory and Cosmos have screens and AV too; tell us what the session needs and we will set it up.
