The first unfair_hardware Build Night.
unfair_hardware is a new Berlin community for building hardware with AI. AI is collapsing the time it takes to go from idea to working device, and this is where we start testing that, together, at the workbench.
For our first Build Night, you'll pair with Claude to program a real board, link it into a wireless network with every other board in the room (no internet needed), then take it outside to see how far it reaches. In one evening, you'll go from an unboxed board to a working network. And the board is yours to keep.
What you'll build
- Light it up. With Claude as your pair-programmer, get your board's screen showing your own words and graphics.
- Connect it. Your board joins an off-grid wireless network and starts sending messages to the boards around it.
- Make it yours. Tell Claude what you want your board to do, whether that's a game, a new feature or a message, and build it together. Then we connect every board in the room and head outside for a range test.
What to bring
- A laptop
- A USB-C data cable (it must carry data, not just charge)
- A Claude account, set up before the night
We'll email a short setup guide a few days before so you can arrive ready to build.
Tickets
€49, hardware included: your own programmable board with a built-in screen and antenna, which you take home. Limited to 40 builders.
